Use BubbleNote with Claude and ChatGPT

Connect your BubbleNote account to Claude or ChatGPT and triage website feedback from a conversation: read reports with their screenshots and browser details, reply to reporters, and move feedback through your workflow.

What it does

The BubbleNote connector is a remote Model Context Protocol (MCP) server. Once you connect it, your AI assistant can work with the feedback your website visitors send through the BubbleNote widget — on your behalf and only within what your BubbleNote account can already see.

  • Summarize new bug reports across a project and spot duplicates.
  • Pull up a report's page URL, browser, OS, device, screen size, screenshots, and comment thread.
  • Draft and post replies to reporters, or leave internal notes for your team.
  • Mark feedback as reviewed, resolved, or archived once it's handled.

You need a BubbleNote account with access to at least one team. The connector URL is:

https://bubblenote.app/mcp

Sign-in uses OAuth 2.0: you log in to BubbleNote and approve access. Claude and ChatGPT never see your BubbleNote password.

Connect Claude

Works in Claude on the web, desktop, and mobile.

  1. In Claude, open Settings → Connectors.
  2. Select Browse connectors and search for BubbleNote. If it isn't listed for you yet, choose Add custom connector and paste https://bubblenote.app/mcp.
  3. Select Connect. A BubbleNote window opens — sign in and approve access.
  4. Back in a chat, make sure BubbleNote is enabled in the tools menu, then ask a question like "What new feedback came in on my projects today?"

On Team and Enterprise plans, an organization owner may need to add the connector before members can connect it.

Connect ChatGPT

  1. In ChatGPT, open Settings → Apps (called Apps & Connectors on some plans).
  2. Search the app directory for BubbleNote and select Connect. If it isn't listed for you yet, enable developer mode under Advanced settings, choose Create app, and enter https://bubblenote.app/mcp with OAuth authentication.
  3. Sign in to BubbleNote in the window that opens and approve access.
  4. In a chat, pick BubbleNote from the + menu (or mention it by name) and ask about your feedback.

On ChatGPT Business, Enterprise, and Edu workspaces, an admin may need to enable the app first.

Permissions

The connector acts as you. It can read and change only the teams, projects, and feedback your BubbleNote account can already access, with the same role-based rules as the dashboard.

  • Read tools never change anything.
  • Write tools are limited to creating projects, adding comments and changing feedback status. The connector cannot delete feedback, projects, or teams, manage members, or touch billing.
  • Your assistant asks you to confirm before running a write tool, depending on your assistant's settings.
  • Feedback that exceeds your plan's usage limit is redacted, exactly as in the dashboard.

Tools & example prompts

Tool What it does Try asking
list_teams Read Lists the teams you belong to. "Which BubbleNote teams am I a member of?"
list_projects Read Lists the projects in a team that you can access, with their feedback counts. "Show me the projects in my Acme team and how much feedback each one has."
add_project Write Creates a project for a website in a team. Only team owners and admins can create projects. "Create a project called Marketing Site for example.com in my Acme team."
list_feedback Read Lists feedback for a project, optionally filtered by status. "List all new feedback on the Acme Checkout project from this week."
get_feedback Read Fetches one piece of feedback with its page URL, browser and device details, screenshot links, and comments. "Open feedback #128 and summarize what the reporter saw, including their browser and device."
add_comment Write Adds a comment to a piece of feedback — an internal note for your team or a public reply the reporter can see. "Add an internal note to feedback #128 saying this is a duplicate of #97."
update_feedback_status Write Changes a piece of feedback's status to new, reviewed, resolved, or archived. "Mark feedback #128 and #131 as resolved."

Assistants chain tools on their own — for example, "Triage everything new on Acme Checkout: group duplicates, reply to each reporter, and mark the ones we've already fixed as resolved".

Disconnect & revoke access

  • Claude: Settings → Connectors, open BubbleNote, and select Disconnect.
  • ChatGPT: Settings → Apps, open BubbleNote, and select Disconnect.
  • BubbleNote: revoke the assistant's access from Settings → Connected apps. Revoking immediately invalidates its access and refresh tokens, even if the assistant still shows as connected.

Deleting your BubbleNote account also revokes every connected assistant.

Privacy

When you use the connector, the data a tool returns — such as feedback text, page URLs, reporter names and emails, device details, screenshot links, and comments — is sent to the AI provider you connected (Anthropic for Claude, OpenAI for ChatGPT) and is then handled under that provider's terms and privacy policy. BubbleNote doesn't use connector data to train AI models and doesn't sell it.

Read the AI assistant connectors section of our Privacy Policy for details on what's accessed, how tokens are stored, and retention.
